Story

We decided to head down to south San Jose and do a short hike in Santa Teresa county park today.
The park is very small but is actually quite nice to hike if you are not looking for a lot of mileage.
We took the route Rocky ridge trail / coyote peak trail and then finished of with the boundary trail combined with the ridge trail back to the parking lot.
Parking here is easy but they do charge you 6 dollars per day to park here.
The first part of the hike is the Rocky ridge trail that is a 1.8 mile slowly slight climbing from the parking up to the crest.

The trail here is really nice, i enjoy to walk on smaller trails that is not only fire roads and here you can fin that.

Nice trail with some rocks that is nice to walk on
When we arrived on the crest we headed left on the Coyote peak trail takes took us to the highest peak in this park (1,155 feet). When you get up there you have a wonderful vies over the south bay area.
After this you have a decision to make, there is an easy trail back to the parking or if you need some more exercise you should head into the boundary trail instead. That was what we did. And from here its actually a lot of very steep walking, both up and down.

There is some quite steep elevation changes here, even though they are very short

After the boundary trail we turned into the ridge trail to walk the last mile back to the parking lot.
This section actually has some shadowed parts that is not the case in the rest of the park.
To summarize, we had a good nice easy short hike that i would recommend if its not to hot outside.
